Doors (general):
Doors are attached to the body by means of hinges. A door catch is fitted between the hinges. Door catches prevent a door from being opened too far. Door catches also ensure that a door remains in the open position. Door locks allow the door to be kept in the closed position. Door locks consist of:
-door guide
-Key lock
-Lock catch
Limiting the vertical movement of the door while driving prevents rattling and wear of the lock and striker.

door guide:
The door guide guides the door when closing so that the lock easily engages the striker. Lock and striker keep the door closed. The lock can be operated from both the inside and the outside of the car. A doorman has several tasks:
-Guide the door when closing so that the locking mechanism falls around the striker
-Limit the vertical movement of the door while driving.

lock catch:
When the door is closed, the lock engages the striker. The following requirements are imposed on the construction of the lock and the striker:
-The lock must always remain connected to the striker, even in the event of severe deformation (e.g. in the event of a collision)
- In case of damage to the door and the body, the door must still be able to be opened.

Locking:
The door can be opened from the outside with the outside handle. By operating the outside handle, the locking of the lock is released. The door is opened from the inside using an interior handle. The transmission from the inner handle to the lock is done by means of rods. The doors are locked with the lock button. The lock can be locked with the lock button. The door can then no longer be opened with the outside handle and the inside handle.
