Project MSII BMW Tuning

The pages about the BMW project are currently under development. Please check back later to see the result.

After setting all parameters and base-maps in TunerStudio, it’s time to start the engine for the first time. The engine started right up at the first attempt. The calculated values for the maps are good enough to keep the engine running. The maps need to be adjusted based on the AFR (Air Fuel Ratio).

The video below shows the engine running after some adjustments. The idle control is functional, but the RPM is still a bit high. Additionally, the engine continues to fluctuate in RPM. Achieving a stable idle RPM is done by adjusting the PWM control of the idle valve and changing the VE map.

More information on tuning the engine to come later.
