After setting all parameters and base-maps in TunerStudio, it's time to start the engine for the first time. The engine started immediately on first start. The calculated values for the characteristics are good enough to run the engine. The characteristics must be adjusted on the basis of the AFR (Air Fuel Ratio).
The video below shows the engine running after some adjustments. The idle control is working, but the speed is still on the high side. The engine also continues to fluctuate in revs. Running the engine at a stable idle speed is achieved by adjusting the PWM control of the idle control valve and changing the VE map.
