Electric Powertrain

In recent years, the share of electrically powered cars, including fully electrified and hybrid-powered cars where the gasoline or diesel engine in combination with an HV electric motor and HV battery pack provide propulsion, has been steadily increasing due to the energy transition. The abbreviation HV stands for “High Voltage.” The overview on this page includes the components that we may encounter in (partially or fully) electrified drivetrains of current and future passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and mobile machinery.
