Electric drive

In recent years, as a result of the energy transition, the share of electrically driven cars—including fully electrified cars—or cars with hybrid drivetrains, where the petrol or diesel engine in combination with an HV electric motor and the HV battery pack provide the propulsion, has continued to increase. The abbreviation HV stands for “High Voltage”. The overview on this page contains the components that we may encounter in (partly or fully) electrified drivetrains of current and future passenger cars, commercial vehicles and mobile machinery.
