Suicide doors:
Suicide doors (translated: Suicide doors) open in the opposite direction from usual. Below you see a MINI Cooper Clubman, which is standardly equipped with a suicide door on the right rear side. The hinges are therefore on the side of the rear wheel and not, as usual, in the B-pillar. The lower photo is of an American Saturn.
The advantage of suicide doors is that they create a large entry space. Loading large items is also easier. There are even some cars (mainly prototypes) that have suicide doors at the front.
