Pendulum Support:
A pendulum support is an engine mount located at the bottom of the car. This mount is attached at the bottom of the engine (at the level of the bottom of the oil pan and transmission) and the other side is attached to the body or the subframe. The pendulum support ensures that the engine block does not tilt when the accelerator is pressed or released. This support is only found in cars with transversely mounted engines (i.e., when the hood is open, the cylinders are aligned from left to right, not front to back).
