Safety systems

The restraint systems in a vehicle may be classified under “active restraint systems” that try to prevent accidents as much as possible and “passive restraint systems” that minimize injury during an accident. Some systems can also be classified under the comfort system; think of a radar/lidar. The driver uses this system to drive relaxed with the active cruise control on the road. In the event of a possible danger, the system switches to braking intervention. The radar / lidar (driving assistance) is therefore part of the active safety features in addition to the comfort system.
