With Suicide doors (translated: Suicide doors) the door opens the other way than usual. Below you see a MINI Cooper Clubman, which is standard equipped with a Suicide door on the right rear side. The hinges are therefore on the side of the rear wheel and not as usual in the B-pillar. The bottom photo is of an American Saturn.
The advantage of the suicide doors is that it creates a large entry level. Loading large items is now also easier. There are also cars (especially prototypes) that have suicide doors on the front.
