Comfort systems

The purpose of the comfort systems is to provide the occupants in a vehicle with as much comfort and ease of use as possible while driving, parking and standing still. When a car is equipped with electric mirror adjustment and parking aid, it is easier to park in a narrow street along a high curb. A comfortable interior climate and an easy-to-read navigation system will also improve safety because people can better focus their attention on driving.

Up to and including the 90s, an entry-level model of a new car was often still very bare, so without air conditioning, electric window and mirror adjustment and navigation. Today, entry-level cars in all price ranges are increasingly equipped with these comfort systems.
