Accessory:
The word accessory is French; it is an additional, unnecessary thing, which contributes something good to a necessary thing. An accessory is a very broad concept. Both in the car industry and with daily needs and fashion.

In cars, for example, extra spoilers, a multifunctional radio, seat heating, etc. can be classified under the term accessory.
Without these necessary accessories, the car would also function well, but with it it is just a bit more fun. That is what the first sentence means.
